Right now we will not go in details.Rather we will discuss very important features of this route.

- From Yemen (Many are of the view that Dhul Qarnain was Yemeni.)he started moving to wards Kiribati (Tarawa) in the direction of the sun.
- When we say that he was Yemeni it means it means that he was Asian.He was then the ruler of Yemen only.In other words you can say that he was the ruler of ASIA only.The history tells us that he was the ruler of the East and the West.Soon you will see the truth as the post progresses.
- In the direction of the sun he traveled both on land and by sea.
- He conquered these countries of present days.:
- Egypt,Sudan,Ethiopia,Chad,Libya,Niger,Algeria,Mali,Mauritania,Morocco
- ,Western Sahara,Senegal and may be few more.
- From Egypt he with his men voyaged through the Mediterranean Sea along the coastal line of Egypt,Libya,Algeria and Morocco.
- He crossed the strait of Gibraltar and entered in to the North Atlantic Ocean.
This event(crossing of Strait of Gibraltar) is very important due to many reasons.Few are:
- When he crossed the strait of Gibraltar he was infect out of the east.He was out of Eastern Hemisphere.He was now in the land /territory of the west.He was now in Western Hemisphere.
And
- The ruler of two continents.
- The Asia and The Africa.
- He was now at the farthest point from the east.
- East now has ended and the west has now started.
- He has now crossed GREENWICH MERIDIAN LINE.
- In simple words Dhul Qarnain and his men have crossed "ZERO LONGITUDE"
- So now Dhul Qarnain was at the junction where
East meets West.
Here around the junction of two continents he saw the sun setting in the west thousands of miles away on the western edge of the North Atlantic Ocean.
The sun was inviting him to chaise.It was urging him to follow again.But now he has few more important tasks to complete.So he stayed here to spread the "Great Message".

To find out the answer to this question i started surfing the WEB again.Different scholars have answered this question differently.
Here is what i think would have happened thousands
of years ago.
Yes! Here lies the difference. He started moving towards the west again.He started to follow it again.Now his destination was TARAWA (Kiribati) and before him was the vast Atlantic Ocean.

Ok let's focus our attention again on the possible route of Dhul Qarnain thousands of years ago.
Dhul Qarnain's second leg of journey.
Dhul Qarnain the great ruler of the east and the west started his second leg of journey.Again he continued to follow the sun.His first experience of chasing the sun was a complete "Success".He accomplished great achievements with the help of this "Rule".

Now before the start of the second leg of journey he has achieved following targets.

- He completely established his rule in the Asian countries under his belt.
- The conquered land of the Africa was completely under his control.
- He established his complete authority in the land of the Europe.European territory and civilization though was different entirely yet he completely dominated and spread the "Great Message" with "Great Success".
- Now his men were more experienced and more prepared for the next expedition.
- Now a lot of his men has explored a vast territory of the Atlantic Ocean.
- Now he and his men were well equipped and determined to cross the Atlantic Ocean.was though
- Dhul Qarnain started to follow the sun again.
- Now he was moving in the direction of the sun.
- Now he was moving away and away from the west.
- Now he was coming close and close to the east.
- (Perhaps)He knew that if he kept on moving in the direction of the sun "Soon" "West" will end and "East" will start.
- Now his target was "East"He now was well set to see the "Sun rising in the East".
- Now he was moving in the direction of the sun but more close to a point in the east.
- Soon for him "The West" will end and east will start.
- Soon he will be at the junction where "west" meets "East".
- Previously he was at the junction where "East"ended and "West"started.
- Previously he has experience of crossing the "Line of Prime Meridian".
- Now the stage was well set to cross the"International Date Line".(Present days)
- Now before him was a great challenge:
- How to cross "Mighty Atlantic Ocean":Remember always Dhul Qarnain was a "Mighty king".He was the ruler of the

- The mighty king accepted the challenge of the mighty ocean.
- He has done his "Home work".He has successfully voyaged through the red Sea and Mediterranean Sea.
- He has faith in his Allah.
- Some muslim scholars are of the view that his "Minister" was "Al-Khidr" the righteous servant of Allah.
