Sua Al-Khaf 83-100
The
only true source of information available about the 3 expeditions of
Dhul Qarnain is Muslims Holy Book "Glorious Qur'an".In this post we are
publishing the Sura Al-Khaf 83-100.
And they ask you about Zul-Qarnayn. Say: I will recite to you about him information.
[Al Quran ; 18:83]
Indeed, We have established him in the land and gave him of everything a cause.
[Al Quran ; 18:84]
So he followed a cause.
[Al Quran ; 18:85]
Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it (as if) setting in a muddy spring and found near it (the spring) a people. We (Allah) said: O Zul-Qarnayn! Either you torture (them) or else take among them goodness.
[Al Quran ; 18:86]
He (Zul-Qarnayn) said: As for one who has done injustice, we will torture him, then he will be returned to his Lord; and He will castigate him with a horrid torture.
[Al Quran ; 18:87]
And as for one who has believed and done good deed, for him is the reward of goodness, and we (Zul-Qarnayn) will say to him from Our command with ease.
[Al Quran ; 18:88]
Then he followed a cause.
[Al Quran ; 18:89]
Until, when he reached the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We have not made from it a shelter.
[Al Quran ; 18:90]
Thus, and We encompassed what he had with knowledge.
[Al Quran ; 18:91]
Then he followed a cause.
[Al Quran ; 18:92]
Until, when he reached between the two dams, he found near them a people who could hardly understand a saying.
[Al Quran ; 18:93]
They said: O Zul-Qarnayn! Indeed, Yagog and Magog are mischief makers in the land. So may we make for you an exit that you might make between us and them a dam?
[Al Quran ; 18:94]
He (Zul-Qarnaan) said: What my Lord has established me over is better, so help me with strength, (and) I will make between you and them a bank.
[Al Quran ; 18:95]
Bring me blocks of iron; until, when he had levelled between the two hills, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (like) fire, he said: Bring me, that I may pour over it molten brass.
[Al Quran ; 18:96]
So they (Yagog and Magog) were not able to pass it, nor could they make in it a hole.
[Al Quran ; 18:97]
He (Zul-Qarnayn) said: This is a mercy from my Lord; and when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it levelled. And ever is the promise of my Lord true.
[Al Quran ; 18:98]
And We will leave some of them on that day surge against others; and the trumpet will be blown, so We will gather them in gathering.
[Al Quran ; 18:99]
And We will display hell on that day before the unbelievers, on display.

تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا (86)

وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا (94)

Second Leg of Journey
Dhul Qarnain-Yemeni King-Egypt-Great Voyage-Conquered Africa and entered in to the Atlantic Ocean via Strait of Gibraltar.Here he stopped and spread the "Great Message".Then after many years he started his second leg of journey.In this post we will focus our attention on his possible route to TRAWA (Kiribati).

Dhul Qarnain starts his second leg of journey.
Dhul Qarnain the great ruler of the east and the west started his second leg of journey.Again he continued to follow the sun.His first experience of chasing the sun was a complete "Success".He has accomplished great achievements with the help of this "Rule".
"FOLLOW THE SUN".
So he accepted the challenge of the mighty Atlantic Ocean and started to follow the sun again.
Now his destination was "East", the rising place of the sun.
Previously he has successfully crossed the line of
Prime Meridian
(Where East ended and West started)
and now he was ready to cross
International Date Line.
(Where West ends and East starts)
He continued his journey in the direction of the sun.The days were long and the sun was very helpful in navigation.He has already done his "home work".Al-Khidar (The Green Man and the servant of Allah who possessed all the qualities of a great "Mariner" and leader) was his minister(Consultant).
He successfully reached the western end of the Atlantic Ocean and got ready to enter in to the pacific Ocean via
PANAMA isthmus.

"Follow the sun"
has helped him a lot.
With each passed day he came close to the place of "Rising the sun".
Now east the rising place of the sun and the junction of the West and the East(WHERE WEST ENDS AND EAST STARTS)was not far away from him.Now his second destination was to the west of Panama,in the east and in eastern hemisphere.
One day in the morning the situation was a little bit different.He has crossed the Panama Isthmus successfully.Before his eyes the sun was ascending in the sky from the west of the Pacific.it ascended further and ultimately set in the Atlantic.
